Stanley to Continue Field Service Engineering Support for U.S. Army

ARLINGTON, Va., Dec. 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Stanley, Inc. (NYSE: SXE), a leading provider of systems integration and professional services to the U.S. federal government, today announced that it is part of a team awarded a one-year, time and materials contract extension valued at $9.5 million to continue to provide software engineering services for the U.S. Army Communications and Electronics Command (CECOM) Software Engineering Center's Field Software Engineering Office (FSEO). The value of this award was previously included in Stanley's second quarter earnings release issued on October 30, 2008.

Stanley will provide engineering and field support for the Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data Systems (AFATDS) at locations worldwide. AFATDS is a digitized, integrated fire support command and control system used by the U.S. Army and Marine Corps. It processes fire mission and other related information to coordinate and optimize the use of fire support assets, such as mortars, field artillery, cannon, missile, attack helicopters, air support and naval gunfire.
